Cooper Technica, Inc. restores early Land Rovers from the 1950’s through 1973. During the restoration process we hold to stricter tolerances than the factory did originally, because we hand-fit every part. Although the overall design remained basically unchanged over the years of its production, Land Rover improved some components but cheapened others. We select the best Land Rover components for our restorations. For example, the early dashboard, fenders and hood are preferable, but the later vacuum boosted brakes and heater are better. Because some original components are no longer available, and after-market Land Rover components are unreliable at best, Cooper Technica, Inc. rebuilds engines, transmissions and other components in house. Our clients can choose from a variety of body styles, colors, interiors and options, including custom fabrications.

1963 Land Rover 109 Series IIa Station Wagon
(prepared for show)
Heavily used and badly rusted, this Land Rover was completely restored to showroom new condition. At the owner’s request, we located and restored a rare PTO capstan winch and re-upholstered the interior, seats and trim with original Land Rover "elephant hide" leathercloth. Subtle modifications from stock include vacuum assisted brakes, large side view mirrors, fully-synchronized transmission and more.
